In 2014, kahlilgibran.com went live as the world's first independently run website dedicated to the life, art, and legacy of Kahlil Gibran. What began as a single page and a handful of articles has grown into a global reference and community for Gibran scholars, researchers, and readers alike.

"A seed hidden in the heart of an apple is an orchard invisible."
— Kahlil Gibran

In the spring of 2014, kahlilgibran.com went live — the world's first independently run, dedicated website bringing global news, research, and events concerning the poet, artist, and philosopher Kahlil Gibran (1883–1931) to readers everywhere.

The site was founded on a simple but quietly ambitious conviction: that Gibran's life, work, and enduring legacy deserved a home of its own — one built not by an institution or a publisher, but by those who had spent years in the archives, the libraries, and the correspondence collections that hold the scattered fragments of his extraordinary story.

From that first modest launch, the Kahlil Gibran Collective has grown into a community of researchers, scholars, translators, and contributors from across the world. Together, we have published original research, unearthed rare documents, and illuminated corners of Gibran's life and circle that had long remained in the shadows — from his years in Paris and New York, to the global reach of The Prophet across more than a hundred languages and cultures.

Our mission has not changed since that first day: to advance the understanding and appreciation of Gibran's life, art, and thought — with rigour, care, and the kind of curiosity that Gibran himself would have recognised and welcomed.

We are grateful to every reader, contributor, and supporter who has accompanied us on this journey. There is much more still to discover.
